2013 Entry Level Course
Application for Entry Level Courses:
Persons interested in attending an entry level course to become a soccer referee must
Be a minimum of 14 years by the date of the selected course of instruction
Sign all waivers found as part of the application form
Include applicable fees with the mailed application form
Attend all scheduled training sessions provided
Successfully pass the written and video examination on the Laws of the game following the training sessions
Please note, this is an application process and, depending on the number of applications received, it is possible that not all persons applying will be selected to take the course. Fees will be refunded to unsuccessful applicants.
Dates:
Valley (must attend all 3 sessions)
May 24, 2013 KCA School 6– 9pm
May 25, 2013 KCA School 9 – 5pm
May 26, 2013 KCA School 9 – 2pm
2013 Fitness Tests
There will be a fitness test held on the Acadia track Thursday, May 9, at 6pm

Referee Academy
Do you want to continue to improve your refereeing skills and practice your knowledge of the laws?
Do you want a chance to try and move into those higher level games and increase your designation?
- If you answered yes to either of these questions, please consider the VRSRA's new approach on the VRSRA Referee Academy.
- This year, the academy will try running during the weekends of selected Valley tournaments.
- This will enable officials working these tournaments to:
o Review the tournaments rules.
o Talk specifically about experiences that have taken place.
o Learn from and share with other officials.
o Practice applying the laws of the game within the context of specific examples.
o Improve on technics/processes that numerous officials struggle with such as penalty kicks, dismissal of a player, dismissal of a coach, foul recognition, etc.
- Here are the three tournaments we have selected for the Academy. These tournaments offer all different age groups which means that any official no matter what designation can participate in this program. The hope would be that any official wanting to take part in this program would be able to make two of the three tournaments as the different sessions will build on each other. Tournament details are as follows:
